Review: Louis Vuitton ‘Neverfull GM’ Bag

One word; luxe.

I was gifted this bag for my birthday last year (yes, lucky ducky), and boy is it beautiful. Not only is it totally divine, it’s super practical as well (just in case you’re trying to justify it). Yes, the price tag is hefty, however, for an item that will last a lifetime, and never go out of fashion, it’s completely worthwhile in my opinion.

– 40(L) x 33(H) x 20(W) cm
– Textile-lined inside pocket (quite easily wiped out)
-Removable clutch with matching interior exterior (my favourite part! It’s like buying two Loui Vuitton bags for the price of one)
– Natural cowhideleather trims (which, in time, deepens into the most beautiful caramel colour
– Golden accessories
– If you purchase from an official Louis Vuitton store, you can get your initials pressed for free (and yes, I did)
– The sides can be ‘folded’ in, to make it appear smaller (I do this all the time)
– Clips to secure the bag closed (very handy)
– Leather ‘draw strings’ on either side of the bag when you want it to appear smaller

Bottom Line

If you’re after a bag that is both a statement piece and a practical-use item, then this is the bag for you. I take mine grocery shopping, to school (I am a teacher), travelling on overnight trips and out to formal social functions. My favourite part is the smaller clutch that comes included; I use this as my wallet. Are there any cons? Not one.

Urban Decay ‘Naked Heat’ Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay fans, unite.
One of the most coveted and highly talked about makeup brands, Urban Decay, recently launched their new eyeshadow palette of the ‘Naked’ family, called ‘Naked Heat’. Just like any other Urban Decay launch, particularly their Naked palettes, Naked Heat is hyped up by all those in the beauty industry. The palette consists of 12 all-new shades of coppery, burnt orange and rich red warm-toned goodness. There is a lovely mix of matte and shimmer shades, and the packaging is seriously a stand out.

The Shades (12 in Total)

The Good

– They’re cruelty free, so they don’t test on animals, nor do they allow others to test their products on animals (winning!)
– Formulated without parabens (yay!)
– Full-sized mirror (bonus)
– Includes a double ended eye shadow brush (score!)
– 12 buttery, easily blend-able shades
– Sturdy packaging (not to mention totally stunning, see pictures!)
– Versatile colours for a range of looks – from nudes to deep browns, to siennas and deep purples.
– Great staying-power on the lid (I wore 3 of the shades for about 10 hours, and they looked just as good as when I first applied them)
– I didn’t experience any fall out
– Super pigmented, rich colours
– I feel that this palette is better quality than the other UD Naked palettes (in my opinion)
The Bad
– The shade ‘Ashes’ is a little patchy and light, however it really does resemble ‘ashes’. I don’t mind it.
– I really cannot think of anything else.

The Price and Purchasing

AU$83 if you’re purchasing from Australia (Mecca Maxima – launching 29th August 2017 both online and in-store). They did have an online exclusive day of pre-sale on the 28th of June, which ended at midnight, which is where I picked mine up from. A$54 if you’re purchasing from America (Sephora and Ulta)

Worth it?

It’s a big, fat YES from me. Whether you’re off to work, hanging with friends or out for a big night, this palette does the job. For all you warm-toned obsessed gals and guys, this one is a winner. I am currently on holidays, and this palette is the only one I brought with me! This palette would also be perfect for beginners who love warm-toned shadows, as you can create so many gorgeous looks.

Other Advice
I would probably get in quick if you want your hands on this palette, as it’s super hyped up (I can see why!). I don’t think it’s limited edition, I think it’s here to stay and join its other Naked family members, however it is said to sell out VERY quickly.
